The School of Social Work at The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) invites applicants for two, full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor positions, beginning August 2025. Both positions will serve the Hattiesburg campus with teaching duties that may require travel to the Gulf Park campus. In addition to teaching in the BSW and MSW programs, faculty are expected to engage in an active research/scholarship agenda and pursue external funding to support their scholarship. Faculty are expected to participate in school, university, professional, and community service.
Analyst I, Child Victim Identification Program (CVIP), National Center for Missing & Exploited Children

The Analyst I position is responsible for reviewing data pertaining to identified victims of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) series to assist in all matters relevant to identifying unknown victims depicted in pornographic images/videos of children in child sexual abuse material content submitted to NCMEC by law enforcement and electronic service providers. Additionally, the position is responsible for assisting law enforcement and prosecutors in support of their investigations and prosecutions of CSAM offenses.

This role will design and coordinate multiple high-level, multi-nation, multi-agency collaborative operations around the globe. The right candidate for this role must demonstrate cultural competence, subject matter expertise in child exploitation or victim identification, have experience operating in high-level diplomatic environments, have expert knowledge of the law, and maintain the highest ethical character.

Postdoctoral Fellow- Sex Trafficking, Women’s College Hospital

This position at Women’s College Research Institute, Women’s College Hospital, will provide a post-doctoral fellow with the opportunity to contribute to the under-researched, under-reported and frequently misunderstood issue that is sex trafficking. The position will be supervised by Drs. Janice Du Mont and Robin Mason, co-founders and current directors of the novel program of research, Addressing Sex Trafficking through Education and Research (ASTER). Sex trafficking is a growing concern in Canada–a billion-dollar industry that involves recruiting, harbouring, holding or transporting victims, usually girls or women, to exploit them for sexual purposes.
Supervisor, Child Sex Trafficking Team (CSTT), National Center for Missing & Exploited Children

Responsible for providing oversight of Child Sex Trafficking Team (CSTT) staff functions during rotating shift-work and for performing CSTT analyst duties as required. The position is directly responsible for coordinating the workload of CSTT analysts and managing the day-to-day operational functions of all CSTT staff. Support Specialist (Notice Tracking), National Center for Missing & Exploited Children

Position is responsible for providing overall support to the Notice Tracking program within the Exploited Children Division including some analytical work determining the actionable steps on public and Electronic Service Providers (ESP) reported URLs. The Support Specialist is the primary person responsible for support of the notice tracking program, including the triage of reports related to Notice Tracking and victim/survivor reports as well as victim database management and quality assurance. In many circumstances, cases may contain pornographic content or links to pornographic content online. This content may depict minors and/or adults. Such assistance requires an employee that can handle exposure to sensitive content, utilizing a victim-centric approach with all communications, demonstrating empathy and support for survivors and their families. Critical skills include high level of accuracy and thoroughness in work product, managing a fast-paced work environment, multi-tasking and time management. The Support Specialist is also responsible for various additional tasks and projects.
