From December 14, 2027, products manufactured using forced labor may no longer be placed on the market, made available, or exported within the Union. The three-part online seminar series "EU Forced Labor Regulation in Practice," offered by the Helpdesk for Business and Human Rights in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, provides a practical overview of the requirements of the EU Forced Labor Regulation and support services for affected companies.
The second online seminar focuses on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It explains what the regulation means for economic operators, i.e., for companies regardless of their size, and thus explicitly also for SMEs. Key obligations are covered, as well as the question of what the authorities' risk-based approach specifically means for SMEs.
