A multidisciplinary approach to the investigation of child abuse and neglect is not new, but the application of this approach to the issues presented by the trafficking of children is a recent development. In this session the issues a multidisciplinary team may face in the investigative stages of a case will be identified. The special needs of children who find themselves in the position of witness in a civil proceeding or a criminal trial will be explored, and the resources available for support will be identified.
